he summer of 1967 was officially the Summer of Love, and although all of the songs on this three-disc budget set originally came out in the 1960s, only some of the ones collected here actually were from the Summer of Love. Worse, what makes this a deceptive package is that none of the versions on 60s Summer of Love are the originals, but are re-recorded facsimiles. Ah, but that\’s how nostalgia works in the marketplace. It doesn\’t matter what you\’re getting. It only matters what you think you\’re getting.
