Canzone di Notte is a collection of melodies that conjure up hopes and dreams that belong only to the night. They may be enchanting, mysterious, or fragile. Through the colours of bel canto, each aria allows the lyricism of the voice to carry you away, gently rock you, and envelop you. As bel canto is at the base of lyrical vocal technique, it is not surprising that many of the arias performed on this album are often used for voice training. Certain pieces, such as those by Schubert, were in fact composed for this purpose.
